In addition to our Arrive & Drive activities Jumicar Bristol can be booked for parties and special events.
Parties would normally take place at Puxton Park, Weston-Super-Mare but special events would be scheduled out of our normal opening times or away from our main site.
We can offer out of hours visits to Clubs and Groups such as Brownies, Cubs, St Johns Ambulance as well as daytime visits to schools .
Jumicar Bristol can also come to you for your School Fair, Village Fete, or Open Day, etc,.
During term times we can come to your school and help with your National Curriculum Road Safety teaching.

The calendar below shows which days we are operating for 'arrive and drive' or have parties or events booked. The days in red currently have nothing happening. The days in green are the days we are open or have an event booked.
We can only run one event per day in addition to our normal 'arrive and drive' activities.
If you require and event on a day that is coloured red please phone or email to check availability. As a rule we don't work on a Sunday.

Come and bring your best friends to Jumicar Bristol for your special birthday party. We will allocate 3 cars to your party for an hour's driving time.
Each hour is split into 6 sessions of 10 minutes so there are up to 18 drives available for party children, although this depends on the ability of the drivers. This means that if there are 9 children, each one could have 2 drives and 2 passenger rides. If there are 6 children, each one could have 3 drives and 3 passenger rides.
The cost for 3 cars for an hour's party is £65. If you require an additional car at would cost and extra £20 for the hour.
Before the party children start their hour of driving there will be a track talk when we explain where and how to drive.
Each driver at the party will receive a Jumicar Bristol provisional driving licence.

If you wish to have party food there are a number of options. The children could use the Meadows Restaurant at Puxton Park.
Alternatively you could bring your own party food and use our table and chairs. Non-drivers could eat while other party children are driving or everyone could eat at the end and watch other visitors drive. There is no charge for using our tables and chairs.
If it rains we keep on driving. We don't mind getting wet and the kids don't either!

If you belong to a group like Cubs or Brownies you might be able to persuade your leader to take you to Jumicar Bristol to learn about road safety for one of your badges.
Jumicar Bristol normally starts a group session by discussing the Green Cross Code. This is followed by a drive and passenger ride for everyone. Then we have a short break while we introduce the 3 main groups of road signs before having another drive and passenger ride each. If this pattern is followed each child is eligible for a Jumicar Bristol provisional driving licence with lessons 1,4,7 and 8 signed up. While the group members are waiting for their drive they can be filling in their work sheets for these lessons.

These sessions are usually arranged for an evening when you can have exclusive access to the Jumicar Bristol track at Puxton Park, Weston-Super-Mare. We allocate 5 cars to a group session. The charge for a normal, out of hours session at Puxton Park is £130. You can bring a group of up to 15 children who have 2 drives and 2 passenger rides each or a larger group (up to 30 children) would only have one drive and passenger ride each.
If you would prefer to come during our normal opening times we charge £100 for the 5 cars. Again, up to 15 children can have 2 drives and 2 passenger rides each, or up to 30 children can have one drive and one passenger ride each.
It is possible for Jumicar Bristol to run a group session at a location away from Puxton Park during an evening. We would bring 3 cars and the track equipment and run a session for an hour and a half as described above. This would enable a group of up to 18 to have one drive each and one passenger ride each. The charge for an evening at your location would be £130.

Mobile Events - School Fairs, Village Fetes and Open Days
If you're planning a special event and you want to attract and involve children why not book Jumicar Bristol . The colourful cars, flags, road signs and children having fun are bound to draw people in!

Jumicar Bristol can bring a selection of 3 cars and the equipment to set up a small circuit. We need a space of about 25m x 20m to create a road layout and have room for the children to receive their driving instructions. The track can be laid on tarmac or grass.
We charge the organisers £300 to attend an event with 3 cars, or £250 if 2 cars are required.
If the event is a school fair we drop the attendance fee and charge the drivers and passengers for each drive and make a donation to the school PTA from the proceeds. However, the event must be at least 4 hours long for it to be viable for us to attend.

School Visits
Jumicar Bristol can support the National Curriculum for Road Safety at Key Stages 1 and 2.

We can visit a school with a selection of 3 cars and the equipment to set up a small circuit. We need a space of about 25m x 20m to create a road layout and have room for the children to receive their driving instructions. The track can be laid on tarmac or grass.
We start the day with a classroom session where we introduce ourselves and talk about the safety rules for the day. We explain why helmets and seatbelts are vital, not just for Jumicar but when they are cycling or riding in a car. We also play a short game to illustrate stopping distances of real cars.
The class is then split into groups. Some will be driving while others are working on our road safety worksheets with the teachers. We also have a pedestrian crossing which can be set up outside for the children to practice the Green Cross Code. There is a worksheet to accompany this activity.
After everyone has had a drive we issue the children with a Jumicar Bristol provisional driving licence.
1 or 2 classes can be taught during one day. 3 classes would require 2 days.
The charge for a school visit is £250 per day.
